Disqualification and the 28-Day Stand Down Period:
If you’ve been disqualified on a “serious” traffic offence, then the law has a mandatory 28 day stand down period. This means that you can’t get you a limited work licence until the first 28 days of the disqualification are over. However, during this time we can still get your limited work licence application paperwork prepared and ready to file.
We have successfully handled limited licence applications for a wide range of charges/convictions, including:
- drink driving (also known as EBA ‘excess breath alcohol or DUI ‘driving under the influence’)
- careless use of a motor vehicle (with and without injury)
- dangerous driving
- reckless driving
- sustained loss of traction
- street racing
- speeding

Demerit Point Suspension
There is no stand down period for demerit point suspension. If you believe that you have exceeded 100 demerit points and be served with a demerit point suspension notice, then get in touch with us as soon as possible, we can have the limited work licence application prepared and ready to go before the notice is served.
